You've noclipped out of reality into the Backrooms — six endless liminal levels. On each level, collect everything it demands to open the exit, reach the exit, and descend. Clear all six to escape — while avoiding the junk that wastes your time and, if you switch it on, the Entity that hunts you. The clock is always running — fastest escapes top the leaderboard.

Items & the exit
- Each level has items to find (almond water, batteries, valves, fuses, glowsticks, keys). The HUD shows your count / total.
- Collect them all → a glowing exit opens → walk into it to drop to the next level.
- Items glow so you can spot them in the gloom.
Junk — don't grab it
- Scattered around are dull, non-glowing bits of paperwork — a job application, a tax form, a jury summons, a parking ticket…
- Pick one up by mistake and it's dead weight: +15 seconds added to your run time. The screen edges flash red.
- They don't count toward the exit — just avoid them.
The Entity (optional)
- Toggle it on the Solo card, or when creating a match (the host sets it for everyone). When off, the levels are empty.
- When on, a gaunt red-eyed figure stalks each level, steering toward you. A red haze creeps in as it nears.
- It's slower than a walk — keep moving and sprint to break away. If it catches you: +10 seconds, a scare, and it's flung back across the level.
Stamina
- Sprinting drains the bar under the HUD. It refills on its own, and instantly when you pick up an item. Drained = you walk until it recovers.
The levels
- 0 The Lobby · 1 Habitable Zone · 2 Pipe Dreams · 3 Electrical Station · 6 Lights Out · 37 The Poolrooms.
- Each looks and sounds different; the hum rises as you go deeper, then breaks into the bright Poolrooms before you escape.
Fast game
- A quick round: one item per level and 2× movement speed. Toggle it on the Solo card, or when creating a match (the host sets it for everyone).
Multiplayer (2–6 players)
- Race — everyone finds their own items; first to escape wins.
- Co-op finish — items are shared; the exit opens for all once collected; everyone escapes (no winner/loser).
- Matches hold up to 6 players — no need to pick a number. The host creates a match and shares the 4-letter code (or lists it Public). The host starts the round when ready; if they don't, it auto-starts 30 seconds after a second player joins (a countdown shows in the lobby). It begins together on a 3·2·1 countdown.
- You see other players in the world, their progress in the Tab standings, and pop-ups when they grab an item or reach a new level.
- Voice chat — tap 🎙 to join. Push-to-talk (hold the button or V) or Toggle (set in the pause menu). Who's talking shows bottom-left.
- Pause menu has Give up (unanimous vote ends the match), Restart, and Back to menu. If someone leaves a 1v1 you can take the win or play on. After a match, rematch in the same lobby or leave.
Identity & leaderboards
- You start with a random name — reroll it, or connect a Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Jupiter…) to claim a permanent username.
- Leaderboard at the bottom of the menu, ranked by fastest escape: switch between Normal and ⚡ Fast (fast games have their own board), each with Last hour and All time.
- $BACKROOMS airdrops: some items you collect in the levels randomly drop $BACKROOMS tokens to your wallet — you must be connected with a wallet to receive them.
- Your account (top-right) shows your name, wallet, and recent matches. After escaping you can share your time on X or copy the score card.
